you only can build an outpost if you get expansion points.
And expansion points only if you have upgraded your main building with 10.
but what if all your main buildings are full and you cant build anny villages anymore?

ye 1 outpost should be enough, or we could use a different system...different from the expension points each 10 lvls of the main building. Any other suggestions?

yes, I would not do it in the way it is now.

more something with pay a price of x wood, x coals,...

and you can make an extra tab in the stats with most outposts (or strongholds)
Maybe a max. of stronholds/outposts is better, but than we cant make a stat for those outposts

maybe one expansion point every setler and general become more expensive.Only that way there will not be to much villages and general around.

but no limitations, so with 500 settlers you can build 500 villages/outposts? That wont be good I think.

how was this done in other games? I think travian uses culture points or something.
