Edit: There will be no reset on server 1.

If you voted 'Yes', state your reason and an alternative for the players whose accounts are reset.

If you voted 'No', state your reason and whether or not Land of Destiny's new players should be able to register for server 1.

This thread is for feedback on whether or not there should be a server reset.

BasTijs could theoretically setup an 'Endgame', after which the server is reset.

Problem: Too much time-spent in micromanagement (click)

If the Players vs. GM Event goes well, BasTijs could theoretically setup an 'Elite Server', where the server is not reset, and where Empires-members who control all Imperial Strongholds & Villages are be allowed to join the 'Elite Server'.
Post suggestions at: Elite Server Discussion (click)
Problem: Not enough players to join Elite Server.

The above threads are for suggestions regarding the implementation Timed Servers vs. Permanent Servers. Suggestions posted in these threads will be given higher priority. Voted "yes" - this game is eating my life, and after my initial distress at losing a well built up position, I realized I was looking forward to the free time. I'd assumed that players who reset would simply have to start over again, keeping their unspent gems. I don't especially like the idea of a veteran's server. One other thought - those who spent gems terraforming just before the end game announcement (the earlier one, when s1 was closed to new registrants) may well feel gypped. Perhaps a partial refund, for those who care?

No-We have all put a lot of our lives into LoD and if the sever were reset all that would be lost.
Registration should be reopened for sever 1 afterwards to let in some more players. Already the further parts of the map are quite empty, it would make the game more interesting.

P.S. a better poll would be: How would you commit suicide if LoD was reset: gun or Noose?

I voted yes becuase some people that whoever he is has attacked will have to remake a lot of stuff. And it could also be no because Catalyst said that we put a lot of work into this and we don't need it to go to waist,But mainly yes because we need a fresh new start. What if you where attacked by bastijs and then when we beat him what if someone else attacked you. What then

In your position it would be a wise financial move to keep it permanent. people would be a lot more willing to invest in a subscription ifthey knew their investment was long term, but if it only lasted 8 months then it was lost, they might think twice.

But what if some those people were new like my friend Anton. They just started. And what about people who can't afford subscription. And also what would subscription do if you don't have the resouces to make anything.

I voted ' yes ' , a fresh start is always good were everyone get to build up from scratch which will give many of us a chance to avoid mistakes we did when we started .

Personally, I don't like the endgame scenario to begin with. If I wanted epic power-struggles for land and resources, I wouldn't be buying Imperial protection. What attracted me to LoD was you controlled how invested you were in the game; you could be an active invader or a casual builder. This entire scenario takes that control and comfort away.

Regardless of whether you keep your gems or get a bonus in a restart, I don't see any reason to continue playing if there's always the random chance six months' worth of gameplay can be rendered moot.

If others are getting caught up in the story/quest and enjoying themselves, good - more power to 'em. But I object to having my game trampled on by others. If the sentiment is "play it this way or don't," that's fine too - I won't.

lol votes are at a draw at the moment. I say we restart but not until after we knock the living daylights out of each other with whatever is left of the troops after we fight bas (if we win)
