Some ideas on the kingdom system...

Kingdom system: (used to be the guild system)

Creation of the kingdom:
> You need a castle in an area with an outpost, the castle will be a new building (new image), so not a stronghold
> Once the first level of the castle is build (expensive) the kingdom can be created.
> The creation of the will be similar to the current guild system
---> Name of the kingdom (has to be unique, can not be changed anymore)
---> Tag of the kingdom (has to be unique, can not be changed anymore)
---> Weapon/banner of the kingdom (not unique, can not be changed anymore)
---> Description of the kingdom (can be edited)

About the castle:
> Every level of the castle will allow 2 new players to join
> The castle has a maximum level of 30, which allows 60 players to join
> Each level of the castle gives a bonus of 1% to the defense of each member in the kingdom
> At level 15 the kingdom can start / join an alliance, with a maximum of 6 other kingdoms
> If the area which holds the castle is conquered, the kingdom is disbanded
---> the castle can by used by the new owner, if there are 2 castle in a kingdom the highest one is used
---> the castle can also be destroyed by catapults or the owner can break it down

About the kingdom:
> The members of the kingdom should help defending the area which holds the castle
> The king can raise taxes, like resources for upgrading the castle, or for protection
---> The warehouse of the kingdom will be the warehouse (from the area) which holds the castle
> The king can invite new members if there is space in the kingdom, or players can apply
---> Applying / inviting is done by a diplomat (unit)
---> This diplomat has to be send to the castle with a message
---> If the king accepts the diplomat will get access to the area (with the castle) like a military unit
---> if the king does not accept, the diplomat can be send back or can be killed (prevent mass applying to kingdom)
---> the diplomats from the king who invites someone can also be send back / killed (prevent mass inviting to kingdom)
---> each player can only have 1 diplomat, he travels like a normal, eats like a normal unit
---> The diplomat has a certain food consumption once he is in the castle (like a normal unit)
---> If the area with the castle gets attack-> diplomat could die
---> if the diplomat is dead, the member will get a message that his diplomat is dead
---> the member has to send a new diplomat within 3 days, else contact with the kingdom is lost
> The king has the option to give members ranks/names
> The king can edit / give members permissions (admin options)
> There will be a forum for the kingdom
> There will be an attack log, which logs all the incomming and outgoing attacks in the kingdom
> Members can leave at any time
> The weapon/banner of the kingdom and the tag will be shown in the description of each member

Diplomacy:
> The kingdom can make an alliance with other kingdoms as described above
> The kingdom can go in war with other kingdoms & alliances
> The kingdom can make a Non Aggression Pact (NAP) with other kingdoms & alliances

i think its much better that ever lvl gives a big defence bonus(5-10-%) to that village its build in,maybe building the castle in an outpost would not be a bad idea.

dont like that part with taxes.

I was thinking what if the casle had it own warehouse in wich you can only send resource.So every one can send ressourse and the leader can use the to upgrade the casle


Im afraid that the game becomes to complicated,so i would not use the diplomt unit ,i would make standard diplomcay.

About the alliance,i think that it would be good if you are in an alliance you cant go to war by yourself,or no body can declair war to you ,they can only declare war to your alliance.so the alliance has the same wars,peaces.
(We dont want to many diplomacy in this kind of game)

We can keep the diplomacy as is, like the guild system. Might add the diplomat unit later.

The king can also raise tax without any ingame tax system, so maybe not necessary to add it as a system. He can just tell ppl to pay him or kick them.

thats no benefit for the kingdom members, only benefits the protection of the castle. Helping to build a castle should give the members some bonus. Working together = reward

why not change the name,tag????

Im not sure if we should let them change the name / tag, if a guild has a bad reputation they can just change name and be fine again.

he must change players if he wish to get rid of the reputation,and if he changes players he CHANGES reputation:)
