We just talked about technology so I've made a topic about it.

I'd say there are categories like 'war','trade','resource gathering'

-->better weapons
-->bigger weapons like canons an catapults

-->faster trade
-->also faster traveling for units and faster food transport to camps

resource gathering
-->faster resource gathering
-->more resource gathering

more idea's are welcome

Im afraid it my make the game to complicated,the game is already complicated because of the map play,and resource system.(its no to complicated for me,it may be for new players)

Yes but this game has much more things then Tw or Ogame,i like complicated games i only play that kind:) but most of players dont want to read the help pages 10 times.

but research isn't complicated,

Research page,
-improve resource gathering
-improve weapons
-improve shields

that's what could be standing there, it's clear for me, and if not for you then you need glasses

(the point is, it doesn't have to be complicated, if worked out properly)
